Graduation process

Graduation (Belt Promotion) at Kick It Taekwondo takes place approximately every 2-3 months and marks an important milestone in each student’s Taekwondo journey. Graduation is an opportunity for students to earn their next belt level by demonstrating the skills, knowledge, and personal growth they have developed through consistent training.

Students must qualify for graduation before being invited to participate. We use a stripe system to help students and parents clearly track progress and understand where the student is in their journey toward the next belt. This system provides regular feedback, clear goals, and transparency throughout the training process.

Our weekly class structure is intentionally designed to cover all required curriculum leading up to graduation. In addition, we provide student-specific resources to support learning outside of class, helping ensure every student has equal opportunity to prepare and succeed. A graduation registration form must be completed, and graduation includes an additional cost, which covers testing, evaluation, and administrative expenses.

Graduation day is a special and motivating experience where students can showcase their skills, effort, and progress in a supportive environment. Our goal is for every student to feel proud of their achievements and confident as they continue their Taekwondo journey.

Black Belt Graduation follows a separate and more advanced process than color belt promotions. Black Belt testing has specific eligibility requirements, extended training expectations, and higher performance standards that reflect the responsibility, leadership, and technical mastery associated with earning a Black Belt. Candidates must meet additional criteria, complete advanced evaluations, and successfully pass a more comprehensive testing process. Black Belt graduations are scheduled separately and are designed to recognize the significant commitment, discipline, and growth required to reach this level.
